How the B1 exam works
ТРКИ-1 has five parts, each marked separately. Knowing how each works turns a big exam into five manageable ones.

The five parts
ТРКИ-1: five parts, each marked separately.

| Ле́ксика, грамма́тика | Choose the right word or form. |
| Чте́ние | Read texts and answer questions. |
| Ауди́рование | Listen to recordings and answer. |
| Письмо́ | Write a letter or message for a situation. |
| Говоре́ние | Hold dialogues and give a short talk. |
You need at least 66% in each part. Formats change over time: confirm the current rules with Екатери́на or the testing centre before booking.
A strategy for each part

| Чте́ние | Read the questions first, then the text. |
| Ауди́рование | Read the questions before the recording starts. |
| Письмо́ | Choose the register first: ты or вы, informal or formal. |
| Говоре́ние | Use your two-minute talks: they are the same skill. |
