You already say пять часо́в and пять лет. That is the genitive plural; today you learn the three endings behind it.

Three endings
Three endings for five and more. Every counted noun takes one of them.

он words add -ов; она́ and оно́ words in -а or -о drop it; words in -ь add -ей. Learn друг → друзе́й by heart.

Remember the counting rule: 1 биле́т, 2 to 4 биле́та, 5 and more биле́тов.
