Commands, ты and вы
Three ways to say read. The person you talk to decides the ending.

| Чита́й! Чита́йте! | Read! |
| Говори́! Говори́те! | Speak! |
| Слу́шай! Слу́шайте! | Listen! |
| Пиши́! Пиши́те! | Write! |
From the они́ form: чита́ют → чита́й, говоря́т → говори́. Add -те for вы.
Once, or not at all

| Напиши́те письмо́. | Write a letter. |
| Не чита́йте в темноте́! | Don't read in the dark! |
| Никому́ не говори́те! | Don't tell anyone! |
Ask for a result with the result verb; say don't with не and the process verb.
How to read a real text

| Не смотри́те ка́ждое сло́во в словаре́. | Don't look up every word. |
| Пото́м отве́тьте на вопро́сы. | Then answer the questions. |
